Sloane & Nine — A Visual History
Sloane & Nine
An intelligence that spins. A woman who keeps following the thread.
The Monster Security Agency keeps the official treaties sealed. Monster Tamers keeps the unofficial sightings alive.
Most of our recurrence files concern beings the MSA has classified, contained, or otherwise managed. Some don't. Some spin webs the MSA cannot map.
The Arachnaea Files are one of those — a subset of the archive concerned with web-spinning intelligences and the women who keep following their threads. Figures who appear and reappear across centuries, often in the company of beings that arrive on eight points of contact and don't always leave on the same ones.
Sloane & Nine: the most documented case in the file. A woman who keeps appearing beside a creature that always finds her — strand by strand, scandal by scandal. Thread by thread.
When the same web keeps catching the same woman, someone should be paying attention.
