It’s all official so I can talk about it now ;).
I realize I’ve been nattering on about Deadshifted for the past three months, because I was already writing it in good faith (and because it wouldn’t leave my head alone) — but now it’s official, St. Martin’s Press has offered on the next two books in the Edie Spence series. I presume they’ll be coming out on the same one every six months publication schedule I’ve already got going on — that’s my plan for writing them, at least.
I always like to have endings on my books, so they will all be stand-alone-ish — and the first three books really are a trilogy, which you’ll see once you get to read them — but it’s also a series. If I were given my way, it would be a nine book series, to get out all the stuff I’ve got going on in my head.
Anyhow, yeah :D. That’s that. It’s weird. I’m going to be a five book author. It feels strange, and a little panic inducing, but mostly bad ass ;).

Annnnnd…you’ll have to excuse me, I’ve got a ton of writing to do now. Ha! (At least everything for Shapeshifted is turned all the way in, so I won’t get sideswiped by edits, copyedits, or pageproofs now, phew ;))
